A project groups AI systems, usually by team or product, so you can see their posture and spend together. It has a name, a description, an optional lead and members. An AI system belongs to one project at most. A project only groups. It does not limit who sees what: everyone still sees every AI system.

Create a project

1

Name it

Open Projects and choose New project. Enter a name, and optionally a description and a lead. Choose Create project.
2

Add AI systems

On the project’s Overview, choose Add AI systems and pick them. An AI system already in another project moves over.
3

Add members

On Members, choose Add members. The lead is a member already.
Owners and admins create projects. Names are unique in your organization, ignoring capital letters.

The project’s page

  • Overview: how many AI systems it has, their average posture, how many have gaps, and, with the AI Gateway, spend this month.
  • Members: who works on it, with the lead marked.
  • Cost and usage: the cost report for its AI systems only. For owners, admins and Governance Leads.
When the project’s AI systems have monthly budgets, its spend shows against their total. That total is for reading only: each AI system’s own budget is what stops traffic. See Budgets and rate limits.

Move an AI system

On the AI system’s page, choose Move to project in the actions menu and pick a project, or No project. Owners, admins and Governance Leads can do this.

Filter by project

Once you have a project, a Project filter appears on AI systems, every Reporting tab, and the AI Gateway’s Request log.

Who can do what

Delete a project

Choose Delete in the project’s actions menu. Its AI systems stay, in no project. The deletion is recorded in the audit trail. When someone is removed from your organization, they leave every project. A project whose lead was removed has no lead until you choose one. Projects come with the governance module: see Plans and modules.
